Famous French street style fashion designers
The words fashion and France has been hand in hand since a long time.
Paris is undoubtedly labelled as the capital of the fashion worlds.
Various models, designers, stylists and all other fashion enthusiast
flock to France in order to experience and see the latest trends and
designs in the fashion radar. The French fashion designers have
contributed phenomenally towards the fashion industry. There are many
legendary French names that have showcased their variety of designs
including the street style.

Pierre Cardin:
Pierre Cardin is known for his innovative and space age designs. He had
an affinity for geometry and this clearly reflected in many of his
designs. The new creation called The Bubble Dress brought Pierre Cardin
into limelight. He was also credited for being the first designer who
launched the concept of street fashion and unisex range of clothing.
Christian Dior:
No matter whether you are a fashion freak or not, but the name Christian
Dior instantly rings a bell. Christian Dior is one of the best known
French designers who were inclined towards this art right from his
childhood days. His fashion career started as an assistant designer to
Robert Piquet and at the Post World War II he gained global fame with
his revolutionary design called New Look. He was also credited for
commercializing and launching of French Fashion to the world stage.
Chanel
Chanel’s association with fashion started as seamstress during the days
of her childhood. At later stage she started selling ladies hats and
after that she also introduced her own line of clothing and perfume. Her
“Chanel No 5” is a popular perfume even today. Her novel cardigan jacket
which she presented to the world was among the list of things that
claimed her fame and success. Another signature design of Chanel was a
legendary little black dress which later on became the must have in each
and every woman’s wardrobe.

Yves Saint Laurent:
Yves Saint Laurent was born and brought up in Algeria but he moved to
France during his late teens in order to pursue fashion and art. In
initial stages he worked under Christian Dior and later on due to
untimely death of Dior he became the art director in the film.
Eventually he launched his own line of fashion clothing which included
the innovative creations like smoking suit, iconic jumpsuit and see
through blouses. With the passage of time he rise to the ladder of
success and became as one of the best fashion designers all over the
globe.
Hermes:
Hermes is better known as the grand daddy of all French fashion and
luxury labels. It is undoubtedly the household name in France. Initially
Hermes was into the business of manufacturing horse saddles and
harnesses. Over a period of time he established a good hold in wide
range of business like world fashion, designer boutiques, handbags,
shoes, home décor, fashion jewellery and fragrances. The revolutionary
concept of zipper to France which became rage all over the country was
also introduced by Hermes. At present Hermes has a long list of
celebrity and elite clientele including Nicole Kidman, Madonna, Elle
Macpherson and others.

Christian Lacroix:
Christian Lacroix is a name which can be associated with the new age of
French designers who have gained a big name in the fashion industry. The
credit for entering and reviving the industry of Haute Couture during
the times when other fashion streams were there to overpower the
supremacy goes to Lacroix. He is also known for his exotic range of
designer clothing and his puffball skirt creation is a very famous among
the Hollywood celebrities like Nicole Kidman and Christina Aguilera.
It is an undoubted fact that French fashions designers has always
dominated the fashion industry and has been in the forefront and it
seems that the trend will continue in the future as well.
